Stephanie Ordonez-Sanchez

Dr Stephanie Ordonez Sanchez is a Chancellor’s Fellow at Strathclyde University. Her research is focused on developing solutions to meet our growing energy demands using offshore renewable resources. Her work focuses on assessing power performance and loading of tidal stream and offshore wind energy converters and life cycle assessments for turbine installations. Apart from working in offshore energy engineering, she also encourages young females to study STEMM areas through her involvement in the US-Mexico foundation project “Mujeres líderes en STEAM” and as an external consultant for the training programme “Eneryou”. She was also selected to join the Homeward Bound project, an initiative to heighten the influence of women to tackle climate change.
