Juan Hiedra Cobo

Dr. Juan Hiedra Cobo is a Research Officer at the Construction Research Centre within National Research Council Canada. He is the investigator for the execution of Work Package 2 (WP2 – New Tools for Early Warning of Ground Deterioration for Infrastructure Resilience) of the Nuna project and Technical Lead for transportation projects under the Climate Resilient Building Environment (CRBE) initiative at the Sustainable Resilient Infrastructures and Communities (SRIC) unit at the Construction Research Centre. His fields of expertise include: Remote Sensing and on-site monitoring of transportation infrastructure (ground deformation), development of Climate Change adaptation and mitigation measures, Transportation engineering (Rail & Transit infrastructure, Roads and Airports infrastructure), Geotechnical engineering (stability of earth dams and slopes), and the development of Artificial Intelligence algorithms related to the topics in reference.
