Crystal Tremblay

Dr. Crystal Tremblay is an Assistant Professor/Co-chair of the Map Shop in the Department of Geography and Director of CIFAL Victoria at the University of Victoria. Crystal is a social geographer and community-based scholar with over 15 years of international experience in sustainable development, participatory governance and livelihood enhancement. She specializes in using community and arts-based methods for research and engagement, capacity building and program evaluation working across sectors. Strongly rooted in community-driven, decolonial and participatory methodologies, she is passionate about cultivating spaces for the co-creation of knowledge leading to environmental, economic and social equity.
