AJ Arreak

A.J. Arreak is a video artist and musician based in Mittimatalik. His work experiments with sound, music, filters and light, filming in his home community and out on the land using a cell phone. The central theme explored in AJ.’s CINUK  films is a longing for the land. A.J is a key member of the Inuksiutit: Inuit food Sovereignty Collective’s Mittimatalik youth-led visual research team.

AJ’s photographs will be exhibited until spring 2026 at the Qajuqturvik Food Centre in Iqaluit and the Wellness Centre in Mittimatalik.
